ROGER
BAAR, PRESIDENT
“The
most important thing I’ve found out about Monrovia is that it
is a very friendly place, far in excess of what I ever expected out
of any city.
The
mayor and general manager have been constantly in touch and made themselves
available. The way they come together shows me they listen, which is
important these days to business.
Another
thing that’s been important to us is the incredible and proactive
response from the Police and Fire Departments to educate my staff and
make us feel safe. In the five years we’ve been here, the few
minor incidents, have been handled immediately. It’s raised the
comfort level and confidence of myself and my staff quite a bit.
As
a business, handling out–of–town visitors is important to
us. The easy accessibility to the 605 (San Gabriel) and 210 (Foothill)
freeways from either LAX, Burbank or Ontario airports is really quite
nice. You’re near the freeways, but you wouldn’t even know
it. It is also good for our international shipments both in–and–out
of the company.
The
hotels and restaurants are absolutely fantastic and our customers and
suppliers always rave about them.
Our
experience in Monrovia has been an excellent one, and in fact when the
opportunity arose, we chose to stay in Monrovia as we expanded.
We
have enjoyed our presence in Monrovia.”
